A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Summary:

SQL parse could be made to crash if it received specially crafted input.

Software Description:
- sqlparse: documentation for non-validating SQL parser in Python

Details:

It was discovered that SQL parse contained multiple algorithmic complexity
flaws when parsing SQL statements with deeply nested parentheses, comments,
or dollar-quoted string literals. An attacker could use this issue to cause
SQL parse to consume excessive CPU resources, resulting in a denial of
service.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
