A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

- Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Summary:

librsvg could be made to crash or run programs as your login if it opened a
specially crafted file.

Software Description:
- librsvg: renderer library for SVG files

Details:

It was discovered that librsvg incorrectly handled duplicate XML entity
declarations while processing SVG documents containing nested XML
inclusions. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial
of service or execute arbitrary code.

Update instructions:

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
librsvg2-2 2.61.3+dfsg-3ubuntu0.1

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
librsvg2-2 2.58.0+dfsg-1ubuntu0.1

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
