A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:
- Ubuntu 26.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
- Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Summary:
Ubuntu Pro for WSL could expose the Ubuntu Pro token to other users.

- wsl-pro-service: Ubuntu Pro for WSL service
Details:
Darshan U discovered that Ubuntu Pro for WSL exposed the attach token in
command-line arguments when enabling a subscription on a WSL instance.
An attacker could possibly use this issue to obtain sensitive information
and gain unauthorized access to Ubuntu Pro repositories.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
wsl-pro-service 0.1.18~24.04.4
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
wsl-pro-service 0.1.18~22.04.3

Available with Ubuntu Pro
In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
