Kaspersky Security Analyst Summit 2013

Location: Ritz Carlton Hotel, San Juan, Puerto Rico

The main objective of the annual Security Analyst Summit (SAS) is to build bridges between Kaspersky Lab's researchers and developers, members of global law enforcement agencies and CERTs, partners in the fight against cyber-crime and members of the security research community.

The objective is to showcase cutting-edge research, new technologies and discuss ways to improve collaboration to thwart emerging security threats.

The SAS audience is made up of security professionals and law enforcement partners around the world who are involved in the fight against cyber-crime. Speakers are specially invited to speak on a variety of hot-button topcs: cyber-warfare, PLC/SCADA security, web application security, targeted attacks, cloud security, mobile security and changes in the threat landscape.

Rooted Con 2013

Rooted with was born with the purpose of promoting the exchange of knowledge between the members of the security community, notably claiming the enormous capacity of the Spanish-speaking professional.

One of the first premises was to keep rigidly the principle of neutrality which has characterised each of its editions. In Rooted with could, can and may speak and present their ideas to members of community safety, students, professionals, companies, amateur, forces of the State, hackers and, why not, artists and academics.

One of the premises is to avoid censorship. While they span the limits of legality, the contents will not never censored and will be presented with the professionalism and rigour necessary; We know that our rapporteurs are serious professionals, whose contents deserve to be treated with all the respect.

And, of course, two premises which are in fact the same: promote the technical knowledge and ensure that, at all times, have fun and enjoy in an environment of animation and Exchange.

Rooted CON naci con el propsito de promover el intercambio de conocimiento entre los miembros de la comunidad de seguridad, en particular reivindicando la enorme capacidad de los profesionales hispanoparlantes.

Una de las primeras premisas fue mantener de forma rgida el principio de neutralidad que ha caracterizado cada una de sus ediciones. En Rooted CON pudieron, pueden y podrn hablar y presentar sus ideas los miembros de la comunidad de seguridad, estudiantes, profesionales, empresas, aficionados, fuerzas del estado, hackers y, por qu no, artistas y acadmicos.

Otra de las premisas es evitar la censura. Mientras se cian a los lmites de la legalidad, los contenidos no sern nunca censurados y se presentarn con la profesionalidad y el rigor necesarios; sabemos que nuestros ponentes son profesionales serios, cuyos contenidos merecen ser tratados con todo el respeto.

Y, por supuesto, dos premisas que en realidad son una misma: promover el conocimiento tcnico y asegurarnos de que, en todo momento, haya diversin y se disfrute en un ambiente de animacin e intercambio.

ShmooCon 2013

ShmooCon is an annual east coast hacker convention hell-bent on offering three days of an interesting atmosphere for demonstrating technology exploitation, inventive software and hardware solutions, and open discussions of critical infosec issues. The first day is a single track of speed talks called One Track Mind. The next two days bring three tracks: Build It, Belay It and Bring It On.

Kaspersky Labs Annual Student Conference Russia & CIS 2013

The annual student conference on cybersecurity issues provide a collaborative environment in which students, experts, scientists and researchers can get together to present and share their knowledge and ideas, inspiring them to push the limits of IT security technology still further. The event gives them the opportunity to present and discuss the most burning issues relating to global cybercrime.

Anyone from the world of higher education, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, is welcome to participate in the conference. Participants will showcase their projects in front of key academic and industry experts and open themselves to potential new and attractive career opportunities in IT security.

Eth0:2013 Winter

Eth0 is a high-tech geek conference. It aims toward sharing knowledge on tech/IT related fields including security, networks, programming, privacy, new (open) technologies, ethics and hacking. At daylight there are talks on these subjects, but when the sun goes down its definitely time to pick up the slack. There will be enough to do, as we have a bonfire, a fully equipped lounge (with bar) and an overload of hackerspace activity. Maybe someone brings along lasers and there is room to party. Enough reason to pick up the slack and go to Eth0?
