DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in feedparser, which can be
exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and
conduct script insertion attacks.
1) An error when parsing certain HTML / DOCTYPE combinations can
raise an exception. This can be exploited to crash the parser via
specially crafted feeds.
2) Input passed via certain comments is not properly sanitised before
being used. This can be exploited to insert HTML and script code,
which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an
affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
3) Input passed via certain URI schemes is not properly sanitised
before being used. This can be exploited to insert HTML and script
code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site when the malicious data is being viewed.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 5.0.1.
