DESCRIPTION:
Stefan Schurtz has discovered a vulnerability in the Freetag plugin
for Serendipity, which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed via the "serendipity[tagview]" parameter to
serendipity_admin (when "serendipity[adminModule]" is set to
"event_display" and "serendipity[adminAction]" is set to
"managetags") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.29. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.32 or later.
