DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in libpng, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and
potentially compromise an application using the library.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the
"png_do_rgb_to_gray()" function in pngrtran.c, which can be exploited
to cause a buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into opening a
specially crafted PNG file in an application using the library.

The vulnerability is reported in version 1.5.0. Prior versions are
not affected.

SOLUTION:
Fixed in version 1.5.1beta01.
