DESCRIPTION:
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in MyBB, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and
cross-site request forgery attacks.

1) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP
requests without performing proper validity checks to verify the
requests. This can be exploited to e.g. log-out an administrative
user, clear a stored password, remove a known buddy, approve join
requests, enable or disable group promotions, perform certain actions
related to "ACP Edit User", and activate a user when a logged-in user
visits a specially crafted web page.

2) Certain input via moving a calendar event is not properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.

3) Certain input via the Akismet plugin is not properly sanitised
before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute
arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context
of an affected site.

4) Certain input via forum subscriptions within the user control
panel is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user.
This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a
user's browser session in context of an affected site.

5) Certain input via moderator logs within the moderator control
panel is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user.
This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a
user's browser session in context of an affected site.

6) Certain input via edit post is not properly sanitised before being
returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.

7) Certain input via editing announcements within the moderator
control panel is not properly sanitised before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 1.6.6.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.6.6.
