DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in rsync, which can be exploited by
malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially
compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the incremental
recursion feature, which can be exploited to cause a memory
corruption by tricking a user into syncing from a malicious server.

Successful exploitation requires that the "--recursive", "--delete",
and "--hard-links" options are on and the "--owner" option is off.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.0.8.
