DESCRIPTION:
Daniel Clemens has reported multiple vulnerabilities in MediaCast,
which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive
information and conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed via the "file" parameter to
authenticate_ad_setup_finished.cfm (when "UserID" is set to a valid
value and "ClearSession" is set to "1") is not properly verified
before being used. This can be exploited to disclose previously
cached Active Directory credentials via an error message.
2) Input passed via the "CP_RIGHTSOURCE" and "bdclient_Inventive"
cookie values to inventivex/mangetraining is not properly sanitised
before being used. This can be exploited to manipulate certain data
(e.g. injecting xml).
3) Certain input passed via an unspecified parameter to
authenticate_ad_setup_finished.cfm is not properly sanitised before
being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL
queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
4) Input passed via the "CP_ENLARGESTYLE" cookie value to
inventivex/managetraining is not properly sanitised before being used
in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.
NOTE: Additionally, a weakness exists due to the
inventivex/isptools/release/metadata/globalIncludeFolders.txt file
storing path information, which may disclose potentially sensitive
information.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 8. Prior versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to the latest version. Contact the vendor for more
information.
