DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in VideoSpirit Pro, which
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors when processing
the "name" and "value" attributes of the "valitem" element in
VideoSpirit project files (*.visprj) and can be exploited to cause
stack-based buffer overflows by e.g. tricking a user into opening
specially crafted project files.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.6.8.1. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted project files.
