DESCRIPTION:
Red Hat has issued an update for system-config-firewall. This fixes a
security issue, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to
gain escalated privileges.
The security issue is caused due to system-config-firewall using the
Python pickle module in an insecure manner, which can be exploited to
execute arbitrary code with root privileges by sending a specially
crafted serialised Python object to the backend.
SOLUTION:
Updated packages are available via Red Hat Network.
