DESCRIPTION:
beford has discovered a vulnerability in PHP-Barcode, which can be
exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "code" parameter in php-barcode.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in a "popen()" function call.
This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell
commands.

Successful exploitation requires that $genbarcode_loc in
php-barcode.php is set to a valid value.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.3pl1. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
