DESCRIPTION:
HP has issued an update for xfs. This fixes a weakness, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).
The weakness is caused due to an error within the
"ProcSetEventMask()" function (difs/events.c) when handling mask
values passed to the "SendErrToClient()" function and can be
exploited to cause a crash.
The weakness is reported in HP-UX versions B.11.11, B.11.23, and
B.11.31 running X Font Server (xfs) versions prior to X11R6.7.
SOLUTION:
Apply patches.
