DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in CUPS, which can be exploited
by malicious people to potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
"gif_read_lzw()" function (filter/image-gif.c) and can be exploited
to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via specially crafted GIF
images.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.4.6. Prior versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.4.7.
