DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been discovered in Simple Web Content
Management System, which can be exploited by malicious people to
bypass certain security restrictions and conduct SQL injection
attacks.
1) The application does not properly restrict access to
admin/item_delete.php, which can be exploited to delete items from
the database.
2) Input passed via the "id" parameter to admin/item_delete.php is
not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in the version downloaded on
2011-02-01. Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Restrict access to admin/item_delete.php (e.g. via .htaccess).
