DESCRIPTION:
John Leitch has discovered a vulnerability in Easy File Sharing Web
Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain
security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the authentication
mechanism, which can be exploited to bypass the authentication
mechanism by setting the "UserID" cookie to an arbitrary value.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 5.8. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only.
