DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in SystemTap, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

1) A division by zero error within the "translate()" function in
loc2c.c when handling certain specially crafted DWARF information can
be exploited to cause a kernel crash.

2) A division by zero error within the "compute_expr()" function in
runtime/unwind.c when handling certain specially crafted DWARF
information can be exploited to cause a kernel crash.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.4. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Fixed in the GIT repository.
