VULNERABILITY SUMMARY
Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified with the HP Matrix
Operating Environment and HP CloudSystem Matrix running OpenSSL. These
vulnerabilities comprise the SSLv3 vulnerability known as "Padding Oracle on
Downgraded Legacy Encryption" or "POODLE", which could be exploited remotely
to allow disclosure of information.

RESOLUTION

HP has released the following software updates to resolve these
vulnerabilities in the HP Matrix Operating Environment v7.2.x, v7.3.x, and
v7.4.0x. The latest HP Matrix Operating Environment Update kits for versions
that are currently supported and resolve this issue are available at the

NOTE: SSLv3.0 must be disabled on the system on which the HP Matrix Operating
Environment is installed to prevent security vulnerabilities. Please refer to
